#ask cha cha
We are a salon and traditional barber shop located in the heart of Lexington, Kentucky. Cha Cha’s is different from other salons. We directly embrace the beauty parlours of the glamourous days of Hollywood, and the barbershop of your youth.
Mad about Madi
Well it s been a while since we ve had one of our legendary meet greets with the stylists. And as always, there have been a few new faces around the salon. Madi Culp is the new apprentice. You may have seen a petite, little pixie floating around the place helping out here and there. No matter what, she s working hard to get that hair done! This bold and blonde beauty is ready to let ya ll get to know a little bit about her.
T: When did you know you wanted to be a hairstylist?
M: Well I mean I m young, so I just wanted to try something different. I mean before I went to hair school, I thought I wanted to be a radiologist! (laughter)
T: Good answer! No one has ever said that.
M: I just think that would be cool!
T: Rapid fire question time
M: Oh, no
T: Just give me the first thing that comes to your mind
(Madi is poised and ready for the biggest question)
M: My sister!
T: Awwww that s so sweet!
T: What are some of your favorite products?
M: I love the Detox Shampoo Conditioner (by O M). I makes your head feel all tingly!
T: Do you like working here? And how did you get here?
M: I love it! Everyone has been so great! I didn t want to work somewhere everyone else was working. I was originally going to move to Nashville with my sister. But my school told me to come in here first before I moved to check it out.
T: We have a strong Nashville connection here.
M: Yeah I know! It s so weird!
- Side note: (Mary, Mackenzie (former apprentice our long, lost sweetheart that will be returning soon #ReturnOfTheMack), myself owners- Jason Charlene used to live in Nashville. Not all at once. lol)
When asked about her favorite Lexington hang out, she says she doesn t go out much. But her favorite place to relax unwind is her parents lakehouse. (I know, she s adorable.)
